1. They carve in memories and history onto the walls while we have memories with objects.
2. They originally were made of bark, leaves and dirt, while European made their own materials with more room.
3. They hold funerals, to say goodbye and good luck, inside the Wharepuni while we use churches.
Activity 2: The Rules Of Engagement
Women were expected to marry at a young age.
Women were to stay at home with their children while Men had to go and work outside their homes.
Men and women are ow able to choose their paths and when and who they want to marry.
Bonus Activity: Special Meals

- Finely chop the onion. Heat 2 tablespoons of olive oil and a knob of butter in a pan, add the onions and fry until lightly browned (about 7 minutes). Add the bacon and fry for a further 5 minutes, until it starts to crisp.
- Add the rice and stock, and bring to the boil. Stir well, then reduce the heat and cook, covered, for 15-20 minutes until the rice is almost tender.
- Stir in the peas, add a little salt and pepper and cook for a further 3 minutes, until the peas are cooked. Serve sprinkled with freshly grated parmesan and freshly ground black pepper.
