What Is Martariki

This Week for reading we are learning about Martariki. we got given the task to tell the people that look at our blog what we know all ready about Martariki. Please tell me more if you know any thing else that i missed out.

Welcome to the SHS learning programe day 5

Today I am posting the same thing as the last few weeks. Today For learning about New Zealand we were taking one step at a time. I have been posting all the things I need to post to get all the points and today the most points I can get is 2,2 and 10  I love doing this because you can learn new things and it make me a better new Zealander. activity 1. write a 8 or 10 sentence story about what you would do is you are lost.

I turned around and found that the whole group was gone. I got super scared I was shaking. I got super hungry so I am lucky that I had some food in my bag. I tried to yell for help but no one heard me. Then I yelled my loudest but still no one heard me. I was getting worried I went to find a way out. Suddenly I saw light I wanted to go to it. So I went to it but I got closer and saw that it was a tall pile of dead grass. I tried to make a call on my phone but I had no serves.  I suddenly saw sunlight.

Bonus activity. Tell our Viewers if we would like to cycle the Otago Rail and why.

I would like to cycle the Otago Rail because it looks nice and I think it would have a great view. If I ever go there I would be able to have a competition on my bike and that would be fun.

My Holiday Recount

WALT -  We are learning to write a recount using a hook in the Orientation and elaboration of 1 idea.

In Writing we are learning to elaborate  on our ideas and use a hook at the start of our writing. We wrote a recount about our holidays. My hook is Aggggghhhhh that`ts all the people heard from me at Wycolya Park. I have elaborated on my sequence of events I used wow words to elaborate on ideas.

My Hoilday Recount

Aggggghhhhh that’s all the people heard from me at Wycolya Park.In the holidays  Me,  Mum, Zane and Rocky and Tyson went to  Wycola Park. We went just to have some fun together.

First of all we went on the slide. We were acting  like the boss of the park. The way we were acting like the boss of the park is  we were  pretending to boss everyone around. Then we went down again and hit our head on the bark. I went head first because my brother pushed me down. We made a humiliation of ourself.

Next we wanted to go on the monkey bars. We swung like a monkey. We sat on them. We looked like a monkey. I could not reach the bars.

Then we went on the swings. Me and Zane jumped off the swing. We both went flying off the swing when we jumped off. I landed on my back with the stitch it was super painful.

After that we went to the flying fox. We  went zooming in the air. We waited for our turn. We had a blast.

It was a fantastic holiday and I would love to go back again.

Antarctica Animal Descipton

For the last few weeks I have been in a reading group that is called animals by animals I mean Antarctica animals and we had to write about them, so first of all I write about Penguin and then Huskies.

Penguin

Penguins are really fluffy and cuddly.

Penguins have two flippers to swim under water. Penguins have a lot of feathers Penguins have 1000 feathers. Under all the tickling  feathers there is  a thick layer of blubber it makes them stay warm during snowstorms. The way baby penguins are born is the mother lays eggs. When the baby hatch the mother feeds the baby out of her mouth it is dusting but nice because the mothers might not get there food for them.

Penguins are so cute and I would love to have a pet penguin.

They are cute.

Huskies

Huskies are living things. They are one of my favorite type of dogs.

Huskies can live in antarctica or in your home. They eat dry or wet dog food. The way they keep warm in the snow is their undercoat. They way Huskies behave in antarctica is by helping people and animals that are being injured.

Huskies can live for 12 to 15 years. Huskies are quite talented they can help people and they can survive in the coldest  place on earth.  Huskies used to live in antarctica now they live in the antarctic, they stayed in antarctica for a little bit.

Antarctica Description

In Literacy I am learning about Antarctica. I went to the Antarctic Centre for a trip. In Literacy I researched all about Antarctica. I wrote a description about Antarctica. I used the correct structure of a description. It has an Introduction, Characteristics and an Evaluation I used a hook. 

Antarctica

Brrrrrrrrrrrrrrr! Freezing, shivering . Antarctica is 1 of the 7 continents and Antarctica is classed as a desert because it never rains.

Antarctica is 25% bigger than Europe. In and Antarctica there is a active volcano, the volcano is called Mount Erebus. The pitcher of Antarctica looks like a bit like a lion with a horn. Well known animals live in Antarctica like penguins, seals orcas other wise known as a killer whale and other type of whales. Antarctica has 90% of the Earth's fresh water. Antarctica  has all ice and snow but under all of the ice and snow there is a land. In winter at Antarctica it is 24 hours dark but in summer it is 24 hours light. Antarctica is surrounded by the southern ocean.

I would love to see someone in all those clothes it must be bolling.

Collaboration

This week at school we have been learning about collaboration.  Collaboration looks like celebrating when you complete a task. Collaboration sounds like eeking/whispering. Collaboration feels like taking turns at writing on the paper.
At school we did this activity where we had to  lift the cup but then the teachers put a tennis ball into the cup. But then they cut the cup to try and made it a bit harder.
But it was still easy as pie the ball did fall of a few time but that did not stop us on getting it to stay .
Then the teachers taped us on the shoulder to to walk to the person opposite side to us.
