 Hello everyone today in Hurumanu 1 we had to pick a book and a card that goes with the book then read it and then answer the questions on our blogs. The book I chose was called Black Gold it is about Oil and how it is produced the safety issues of it and more about it. Here are my answers to the questions thank you for reading my blog post. How long will oil last?
Oil can last for 5 years. that means when it leaks out into the water it is still there for a further 5 years into 

What will we do when the Earth's oil runs out?
we will rely on electricity so most cars will be running off electricity 

Can we use less and make it go further?
Yes we use less some of the ways we can use less oil is walking around more and not driving or even using public transport 

what are the best alternatives?
some of the best alternatives are using solar power and wind power 

Film review

 Hey everyone welcome back today In hurumanu 1, we are writing our final essay type thing about the film hunt for the wilderpeople. I have now finished and I hope you enjoy my writing. thank you good-bye 

The film hunt for the wilderpeople was published on the 31 of march 2016

and directed by Taika Waititi.some of the people that were in the film where,

Jullian Dennison, Sam Neill, Rachel House and many others. Jillian played Ricky Baker.

Sam Played Hec And Rachel played Paula. 

It is about a kid named Ricky Baker who is from a adoption center.

When one day the adoption manager Paula decided to send Ricky to a house and to live with a

lovely couple whos names are Bella and Hec. Until one day Bella passes away so Ricky runs away

into the woods and trys to survive in the wilderness. 

Something I liked in the film was that they showed a lot of things like they showed when Ricky

“set” him self on fire and they showed how he quickly ran into the forest so that people wouldn’t

know that he was still alive. Something I didn’t like that much is how they had Hec not liking Ricky

and treating him horribly because everyone should have a chance. Something they did well was all

the different camera angles and all the different lighting tones, and how they showed that they were

doing a certuin thing and showing a lot not hiding much. 

I recommend this film for people who like a adventure or would like to see what it is like in

New Zealand for family's that own a farm or live next to the forest or even who go out hunting

to get their food not going to the supermarket or anything. I would not recommend it to young

viewers because it has a lot of things that you wouldn’t want your younger children to see. But

Overall I think A lot of people would want to see this film. I give the film a 5/5 ⭐.

Hurumanu 1

 Hey everyone me again. I have now done another fast finishers and this one is to choose a inportant relationship and discribe it so here are my answers to it. Thank you good bye

Their relationship is a love hate relationship most of the time they are there for each other but other times they get grumpy with each other and don’t want to be around each other. 

Three reasons why i think their realtitonship is important 

1. because you can always be there for each other 

2. Because they first started by hating each other and then they went to really close and helping each other out 

3. Because at the end of the film it shows that Ricky is really sorry and wants him to come out to the wild with him again

For each reason describe a event in the film that shows these reasons 

1. Most of the film because they are getting closer and closer 

2. Most of the film but mainly the end because they start to become better friends then what they oragainly were

3. At the end of the film when Ricky goes to the house where Hec was staying to see if he wanted to come to the wildness with him to find the bird they found when they were first in the wild.

HURUMANU 1 (SEXXXY PARAGRAPH)

 Hey everyone once again today in hurumanu 1 we were doing sexxxy paragraphs so here is my next paragraph I hope you like it 

In the film hunt for the wilderpeople there is one scene where Ricky and Hec are hiding from the cops in behind a bush/trees. For example they had been on the run for quiet a while and then the cops had found out they had run away so they were trying to find them and they had to hid quiet a lot. I think the audience would be relived when they saw this seen because they knew they hadn’t been caught yet. The director might of included this because they knew that people would be interested in Ricky and Hecs journey because it was a interesting journey. They most likely used this camera angle because it shows how they are laying in the trees and I think they used this lighting so you can see what type of scenery they are in. In my opioion i think that this scene is very meaning full scene.

 Hey everyone welcome back today in hurumanu one we have been doing more paragraphs These paragraphs have been called SEXXXY Paragraphs I hope you have been enjoying my paragraphs thank you good bye 

In the movie Hunt for the Wilderpeople there is two characters called Hec and Ricky who had a very unhealthy relationship at the beginning of the film. In the film you can see that they are forming a better relationship when Bella dies and ricky fakes his own death but Hec knows he didn’t. When the audience saw the film and we saw that Ricky and Hec were becoming closer we all got happy because we all thought that they would hate each other forever. The director probably put this in the film because of how hec was towards Ricky at the start and wanted them to become closer. They became mostly closer friends when they were on the run and one day, when they had a chill time in the dark and had a meaningful conversation that's when they got the closest. I really liked this part of the movie because they hated each other then all of a sudden they want to have each other around.

In the movie Hunt for the Wilderpeople there is a boy named Ricky who just got adopted into the family, who is always trying to run away. The very first time Ricky ran away Hec didn’t care but Bella who is Hecs wife, did care so she went looking for him. Then all of a sudden Bella passed away so Ricky faked his death to be able to run away. This shows us that Hec does care about Ricky because he goes to find him. This makes the person watching show that Ricky really does need someone to help him around the place  because he got himself lost and he couldn’t find anything he needed. This helps us to understand that they really want each other to be safe and not hurt. Therefore this part of the movie tells us that they start to get closer and start to care for each other more.

Being a good friend does show respect because if you are a

Hurumanu 1

 Hey everyone welcome back today in hurumanu 1 we were writing paragraphs about the movie we were watching which is hunt for the wilderpeople. I hope you enjoy my paragraphs Good-Bye 

Ricky 

He is a 13 year old boy who has lived a hard life for the past 13 years when he finally

got to a home that he knew he wanted to be, his aunty (Bella) Passed away. So that left him

with Hec but the cops had to come and get Ricky because he was under Bellas care not hec.

So he decided to fake his own death so that he could run away into the forrest. 

Bella 

She was rickys adopted aunty. She decided get ricky to call hec her husband and herself

aunty and uncle. Then one day she passed away while peging out washing, no one knew what

happened to her but everyone was very upset about her pasing away.

Hec

He was Rickys adopted uncle. He was very sceptical about ricky at the start of the movie and

didn’t want anything to do with him. Until after bellas death, him and ricky became a little bit

closer. He went into the wild to find ricky when he ran away and he took care of him once he

found him, until the cops found ricky and hec and ricky had hec go to jail for a little while then

once hec got out ricky had been adopted once again and went searching for a bird they found

when they went into the wild the first time. 

The whole movie

The movie is about a 13 year old boy named Ricky who got put in a adoptment home

at a young age and then one day he got sent to a farm and started to live with two people

named Hec and Bella but Bella told Ricky to call them Aunty and Uncle. Then all of a sudden

Bella passed away so because Ricky was more under Bella’s Care than he was Hecs He had

to go back to the adoption center then get sent to juvy, so he decided to fake his own death

so that he could go into the woods and live his own life. Then once the cops caught him he had

Hec go to jail for a bit and ricky got a new home for him to go into. Then once hec got out they

went to the woods again to find a bird they found the first time. 

Paula 

She was the police officer that put ricky in all his homes that he goes to.

She is the reason why ricky hates the adoption center and also always trys to run away.

She always wants to find the best place for ricky but always has to come back and get ricky

because the people that adopt him cant handle him. Until one day she thought she found the

right place but bella died. She had to start a big chase down because ricky ran away and then

once she caught them she put hec in jail and put ricky in a new place

Disecting In science

 Hey everyone today in science we dissected a sheep heart. We all had to be in groups of three in my group there was Me Tasharn and Shelby. 

Aim: Finding out the part of the heart to look at the features of it and how it works 

Hypothesis:I think it will show all the parts of the heart and what a heart looks like in person

Method:

Step 1: Cut down the left hand side see what you can see and try name some of the things that you can see 

Step 2: Flip it around and then cut down the right hand side then see what you can see and then try naming them

Step 3: Cut down the middle and see what to two half's look like. 

What we used: We Used a scalpel, A Pear of scientific scissors and a pare of tweezers.

Results: I found out that A heart has a lot of different mussels in through out it. 

Conclusion: Basically all we learnt that it takes some time to get into a heart and see what it does, how it works, and whats all in it to make it work. 

Discussion: I enjoyed Learning about the heart and Dissecting the heart because it was really fun and neat to learn about. We saw the Atrium Which is the entry ways where the blood enters each side of the heart from the vain's. We also saw the Arteries which takes the blood away from the heart.  Another thing we saw was the Septum which is the middle of the heart and its job is to separate the left and right side of the heart.

Stars year 9 day out

 Hey everyone yesterday all the year 9's in my classes went to a stars day out. We went to Horizon high ropes which is a climbing place you got two through the Groynes and we also went to Lake Rua and made rafts.

At Lake Rua you can swim around and build rafts along with a team or you can do it on your own when you build your raft you learn all different types of tying the rope round to keep it steady. When my team made the raft we uses barrels and wood and tied them all together so that it wouldn't fall of and so we didn't fall in the water. 

At Horizon high ropes you learn to climb really high frames and it is really scary if you are afraid of heights it get you to concur your fears of it. But it is really fun when you are there with some of the things that are there.
