Tane Mahuta

So I am apart of a group called Tane Mahuta and what we do is help out the world. Right now we are working on helping the school. I have decided that we need more trees and more rubbish bins for all the rubbish but they will have lids. I have also decide for more tables and chairs around the school. My plan is to clean up the rubbish and plant more trees. Because if you have more trees you also have more shade. This is what we do

Science Day 4 Part 2

Today We Used Skittles And Water You Test Out Some Chromatography. I Hope You Enjoy😉 

Aim: To separate colours by using the process of chromatography.

Materials;

1.  5 Skittles 
2.  Petrie dish 
3. water 


Process:

Step 1:Get A Petrie Tray And Line Five Skittles On The Edge Spread Apart
Step 2: Add Water To It 
Step 3: Watch The Skittles Colour Leave The atchell skittles

Science Day 4

Today In Science We Have Been Learning About How Colours Are Made. I Hope You Enjoy😃

Aim:To separate colours by using the process of chromatography.


Materials:
Filter Paper
Container
Water
Felts


Steps
1. Draw A One Cementer line on the bottom of the Filter paper
2. On The Line You Have Just Drawn With Three Felts Draw Three Dots
3. On The Top Of The Filter Paper Draw A 2 Cementer Line
4. Fold The Two Cementer line In Half
5. Get A  Container And Put The Folded  Peace Of Your Filter Paper On The Container
6. Get 1.5 Cementers Of Water And Put It In The Cup
7. Watch The Liquid Make The Colour Move
8 Then After 1 to 2 mins the colour will be up the top of the filter paper

I am apart of the Tane Mahtuta Group. Our Job Is To Make The World Around Our School Better. Today We Walked Around The Garden And Thought Of What We Can Make Better In There Then We Walked To The Field And Around It And Thought Of What We Could Do To Make That Part Of The School Better. My Favourite Part Of The School Is The Field Because It Has A Lot Of Shade. My Best Idea To Improve The School Is A Little Pond With Fake Animals It Would Be Placed Around The Road Part Of The School.

Science Day 3

Today in Science We Are Making Clear Water.
No Not From The Tap If That Is What You Are Thinking. We Made A filter To Make The Dirty Water clean water.

Aim: to make a filtration plant using household materials.



What is filtration?

Filtration is separating solids from liquids by adding a medium through which only the liquid can pass. 

Examples are:

1. Kidneys 

2.  Tap Filter 

3.   Coffee Bean Cruncher 

4. Pool Filter 

Materials

1. Bottle 

2. Sand 

3. Rocks 

4.Dirty Water 

5.Scissors 

6. Funnel Paper 

Process

Step 1

Cut the bottle In Half 

Step 2

Put the top half upside down Into The Second Half Of The Bottle 

STEP 3

Get Funnel Paper And Fold It In Half Twice Then Open The Funnel Paper On One Side So That It Is A Cone 

STEP 4

Add Half A Cup Of Sand To The Funnel Paper And The Put The Funnel Paper Into The Top Half Of The Bottle 

STEP 5

aDD HALF A CUP OF ROCKS TO THE BOTTLE THEN ADD WATER 

Warning

Make sure that an adult cuts the bottle in half. This water filter is just an experiment and should not be used for drinking water.

Avoid using charcoal briquets, as these can contain chemicals you don't want in your water. Use the activated carbon for water purifiers instead.

For Science Today We Had To Make A Chart And Then Do A Experiment With Salt I Hope You Will Enjoy This

In Science we are learning about a lot of things this is one of them. We Got Given 10 Different House Hold Things And We Had To Find Images Of Them We Had To Find The Chemical Name. And We Had To Find Out If They Were A Solid Liquid Or Gas. Then We Had To Mix 2 Of Each Thing Together And Use Google To Find Out What They Did.
