WGA- Kintsugi What is it?

  • Using colourful patches to mend your jeans

  • Fixing a friendship by apologising (and really meaning it)

  • Yourself--think of all the times you’ve fallen over

  • or failed a test. These aren’t anything to be embarrassed

  • about! They help you learn and have made you who you

  • are

  • Fixing a stuffed toy if a arm or leg gets ripped off 

  • Fixing a issue-Talking about it and fixing what went wrong 

  • Fixing a family problem- Getting your family together

  • and talking about what happened so that you can fix it 

  • Putting up a stick to help hold the new tree up

    I really like your list of ideas, especially using conversation to patch things up. And you've understood the main idea that this art of repair has something important to say about mending relationships between people. Ka pai! We cannot mend relationships using a gold-inflected lacquer as would be used for a pot or vase in kintsugi. What emotional qualities do good repairers have, in your opinion?
