Kia ora Nici,
ReplyDeleteIt’s Shannon from the Summer Learning Journey.
What an amazing plan you have shown to build your dam. I really like that your first picture clearly shows how you would like to structure the sticks for the most strength. Why did you choose this shape?
I’m also pleased you tried to construct your dam! It’s hard when you don’t have materials like glue or cement! So you did well for trying. I’m proud of you!
I wonder if using sticks would work well in a dam if the water was flowing fast? Do you think it would still hold back the water, or do you think it might float away? Will the shape you have chosen help keep the sticks in place?
Keep up the great work!
Ka kite anō,
Shannon (SLJ)
Hi Shannon
DeleteI chose this shape because it was a similar shape to the sticks that I used kind of. Thank you it took me quite a while considering my animals kept trying to get the sticks.
I honestly don’t think sticks would stop a big flow of water because it would be going really fast. I don’’t Think it would stay
Have a good Day, Good-Bye

Hi Nici,
ReplyDeleteOh no! That must have been a little bit funny, your animals probably thought it was a game! If the sticks were big enough, they might work! Especially if the edges are stuck into the ground so they can't float away!
Bye for now,
Shannon (SLJ)
Hi Shannon
DeleteYeah My Dogs have always been queit cheeky. I Agree I the sticks were a lot bigger They Might stay
