All about a Digital Footprint

Hey everyone welcome back to my blog. today in Wga we were learning about a digital footprint. we had to find out what some words meant from the story we read and then we had to find out what a digital footprint was. I hope you find out something new If you know something else about a digital footprint please let me know.
Thank you
Good-Bye

What is a digital footprint?
Reading lesson follows this structure:
Pre reading - what do you already know? What are some things this text may tell us?
It is a way other people can track you online because you have left a digital footprint so basically your history. It is also a way that you are sharing your personal information not our private information. It is what you can share photos with. You pass information of other things that you like.

During reading - check meaning on words, and phrases used.

Post reading - Why do you think the author made this text? What did they want their audience to think about and/or know? - use evidence from the text to explain your answer.

Check meaning of: comparison, impression, assume, content, passively, metadata

Comparison means a consideration or estimate of the similarities or dissimilarities between  two things or people.

Impression means an idea, feeling or opinion about something or someone especially one formed with out conscious thought or on the basis of little evidence.

Assume means suppose to the case, without proof.

Content means In a state of peaceful happiness or something you post online.

Passively means In an accepting manner, without active response or resistance.

Metadata means a set of data that describes and gives information about other data.

I think the author wrote this text to help others understand what a digital footprint is and warning people to be careful with what they post online. Giving people awareness about what could happen once you post something online as once you post it you're not in control of it anymore and then if you try to delete your page all your posts won't be gone because other people have them.  Digital footprints never leave so once you do something it's there forever.
